The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Miami, recently ended successfully. Now in its 57th edition, the US exhibition is one of the most prestigious showcases of world yachting, where leading brands of boating meet. This year too reaffirms the strategic importance of the American market regarding volume of business, potentially growing, and increasing presence of owners much more likely to buy custom-made superyacht. Show is the world’s largest trade exhibition of marine equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry, which has been bringing the marine industry together for decades. Over 22,000 professionals from 112 countries around the world will convene in Amsterdam RAI: boat and yacht builders, naval architects, yacht designers, interior builders, naval engineers, marina owners, marina operators, marina suppliers, yacht captains and crew, marine industry consultants, yacht brokers, charter boat operators, and much more. The Country Pavilions have been a prominent element of the METSTRADE Show since 1988. National Pavilions are run by the national associations members of ICOMIA - International Council of Marine Industry Associations - and feature exhibitors, who are present their products in their Country Pavilion with the aim to create a national bond. Currently, the following countries have their own country pavilion: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Slovenia and South Korea. These areas are joined by specialist pavilions: SuperYacht, marina & yard equipment and construction material.

CMP METS 2016 Amsterdam

The Construction Material Pavilion is the specialist platform for raw materials and composites together with the Material Xperience, and reflects developments and innovations in recent years. The Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP) is the most important global port for building and managing a marina and hosts marina owners, operators, developers and suppliers from around the world. With 60+ exhibitors, MYP 2016 will be the biggest to date. The MYP has been showcasing marina specific equipment for almost a decade, ranging from: pontoon and boat mooring systems, utility pedestals, specialist lighting, pump-out systems, hoists, cranes and trailers, in-water boat lifts, management software, boat cradles and stands, fire-fighting and safety equipment, to dock fenders. The Marina & Yard Pavilion (MYP) will overlap with the renowned ICOMIA World Marinas Conference (from 17 to 19 November).
