2017 season is ready to start!

Ready, steady…go! The 2017 nautical year officially started. And it started from the docks of the port of Cannes with a new edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, an event that inaugurates the season of boat shows taking place between summer and fall. For the insiders these ones will be critical days of work to figure out what to expect from the 2017 market, to schedule the production of the next few months and the purchase of raw materials, accessories, and components. All in order to understand - in short - what resources they can invest in upcoming models, projects, manpower and facilities. But for visitors there will be veritable shows where to go looking for (or dreaming of!) their dream boat. Here you are the must-see autumn boat shows!

CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL / 6 - 11 September 2016

Canness Yachting 1

Considered as the greatest on-water exhibition of Europe (497 exhibitors, 579 boats, more than 50,000 visitors expected), the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes is a unique place that offers the general public to discover in preview the most beautiful sea jewels. From 6th to 11th September in the sparkling and luxurious bay of Cannes, about 600 boats (100 of which are brand new) will be on display in water and on land. The events are divided between the two magnificent harbors of the French Riviera: the Vieux Port and the Port Pierre Canto.

The Port Pierre Canto is the space dedicated to the big second hand yachts. Here brokers and charter operators will offer you about fifty carefully selected beautiful yachts, from 22 to 55 meters. Purchases, sales or rentals start from here, to navigate to new destinations.On the contrary, in the heart of Cannes, close to the historic center and to the famous Palais des Festivals, you can find the Vieux Port, one of the oldest ports of the Riviera. During the Yachting Festival there are many prestigious boats that arrive here from all over the world, offering visitors an incomparable panorama. The Palais des Festivals hosts shipyards, banks, decorators and interior designers: here you can find many yachting related activities. Outside, along the beach, the Toys space welcomes the latest innovations in "water toys" industry and the Tender Area. The Super Yachts Extension is the hall dedicated to the largest boats in the Salon while La Jetée presents the leading international shipyards of the luxury yacht sector. Cannes Yachting 2

The Quai Max Laubeuf, the place of origin where the first Cannes fair - with an exhibition of 30 boats - took place years ago, it's a must too. Today the Quai Max Laubeuf welcomes more than 160 units. This area is dedicated to motorboating and it hosts the RIB Village too, where you can find all the inflatable and semi-rigid boats, in water and on land.​  In both marinas, different shipyards will propose visitors sea trials, allowing new buyers to try the most beautiful yachts in the world and to make an conscious choice. News 2016, La Terrasse is a new space exclusively dedicated to the luxury industry: automotive, watches, private jets, jewelry.

GENOA BOAT SHOW / 20 – 25 September 2016

Anticipating the dates of ten days to fit between the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show, the 56th edition of the Genoa Boat Show will take place from 20th to 25th September With over 200.000 square meters, 100.000 meters of docking area and 100.000 on the ground, the boat show in Genoa is definitely one of the most important events for those who love the sea. Also known as the largest tradefair in the Mediterranean with over 760 exhibitors and over 1.000 boats on display - sailingboats, motorboats, inflatable rafts, powerboat and motoryacht , this boat show is definitely the best festival where discover the latest news from the national and international boating industry, over a comfortable and annually renewed annually itinerary. At the Genoa Boat Show you will also visit the Italian superyachts in their dedicated area: the Super Made in Italy. Here you will find the best of the Italian production: boats over 24 meters that represent the excellence of this country, the most expensive and exclusive yachts in the world.

There's an area dedicated to water sports, which are becoming increasingly popular and complementary to boating products. From jet skis to sup, from windsurfs to kayaks, in recent years this sector registered a + 80% increase in sales, and in Genoa you will have the opportunity to see and try a lot of new products. To guarantee you a full "Sea Experience", there will be also the possibility to test offshore the latest boating proposals. Furthermore, the boat show will host for the first time a stage of the M32 Mediterranean Series circuit: aboard these catamarans also the visitors will experience the exciting experience of flying on the sea. And then events, shows and competitions organized to entertain the public.

The keyword will be "dive in the blue continent", a continent open to all the people. In fact, the Genoa boat show leaves plenty of room to engineering, sailing, fishing etc., but also to training and educational initiatives, in order to involve younger generations and to remind everyone that boating is not a pleasure for the wealthy few. MONACO YACHT SHOW / 28 September – 1 October
